Chen Peifeng: A high school mathematics teacher, "Outstanding Education Manager" of Anqing City, and a "Famous Teacher" at Anqing Foreign Languages School. He serves as assistant principal in charge of the west campus operations. With 27 years of experience as a homeroom teacher, he has been honored multiple times as an "Outstanding Homeroom Teacher" in Anqing City, and the classes he has led have frequently received municipal recognition as "Advanced Class Collectives." His research papers on homeroom teaching have won numerous city-level awards or been published. In education and instruction, he excels at collaborating with parents, establishing an integrated "home-school-community" management model. Skilled in student counseling, he emphasizes holistic development. Also, his enduring educational philosophy is: "Teach children for three years, but take responsibility for their next thirty."
To start with, on the evening of June 5th and the afternoon of June 7th, 2026, our school's 19th Parent-Teacher Lecture Series was successfully held in the Junior High School Department of the both the east and west campuses. The lecture, delivered by Assistant Principal Chen Peifeng with the theme "Understanding Rebellion: Wise Companionship," was attended by over 500 parents from each campus.
To be concrete, this lecture focused on the typical "eighth grade phenomenon" during the junior high school stage, which closely adhered to the unique physical and mental development characteristics of eighth-grade students, deeply analyzing the underlying reasons for common problems such as emotional sensitivity, mood fluctuations, rebellious resistance, unwillingness to communicate, and parental estrangement among adolescents. Moreover, from three dimensions - physiological changes, psychological growth, and cognitive transformation - it helped parents truly understand the essence of their children's "rebellious" behavior, breaking the conventional perception that "children are deliberately disobedient".
Furthermore, the lecture combined a large number of real cases of family education, directly addressing the common misunderstandings in parents' daily communication, which deeply analyzed the negative impacts brought about by ineffective educational methods such as preaching, nagging, blaming, and strict control. In the meantime, it provided scientific, practical, and directly applicable family education methods and communication strategies, guiding parents to break away from traditional educational thinking, learn to think from others' perspectives, listen gently, and guide flexibly, so as to accompany their children smoothly and successfully through the most crucial turning point period of junior high school.
In a nutshell, the "Home-School Lecture Forum" is a traditional activity of our school, which is held once every semester, aiming to establish a "three-party" educational system integrating school, family and society, and promoting that parents fully recognize the significance and role of family education, enhancing their sense of mission and responsibility in family education, and guiding parents to establish correct parenting concepts, learn and master scientific family education knowledge and effective educational methods, so as to create a favorable family education environment for the healthy growth of their children.
